Indiana’s Athletic Department is a HOT mess for costin’ Bryant Fitzgerald this season. “Tired of IU”

Indiana defensive back, Bryant Fitzgerald, will miss his ENTIRE freshman year not because he got into some trouble on or off of the yard. Not because he took some bread from a booster or alumni. Not because he didn’t study and make the grades necessary to play and not even because he got hurt in fall camp. He did everything he was supposed to do, followed all of the rules and showed up when he was supposed to show up.

So why has the dun been ruled ineligible to play, practice or even work out with his teammates this season? Because the Indiana University Athletic Department or more specifically, the school’s compliance office, gave him some terrible advice about his eligibility requirements. So therefore, ole boy can’t suit up this fall at all.

Fred Glass, IU’s athletic director issued this poor excuse for a statement on Saturday, “Bryant Fitzgerald is a smart, outstanding young man who is academically prepared and capable of being very successful at IU. His ineligibility is not his fault. It is ours. On behalf of myself and everyone associated with IU Athletics, I personally apologize to Bryant and his family for our mistake. While it was an isolated and unintended one, it is no less devastating to Bryant, and I could not feel worse about it.”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! This is unacceptable bruh. IU drops the ball, now this kid has to suffer the consequences and issuin’ an ole funky statement that isn’t worth the paper it’s written on doesn’t let them off of the hook. Even though Fitzgerald posted a positive message on Instagram about it but that says more about his maturity and upbringin’ than it does about how terrible IU’s athletic department handled this situation.

Then ole boy, Fred Glass, has the nerve to be fired up at the NCAA because they refused to grant the kid a waiver to play when, in his words  “could have and should have.”

Well playa…the NCAA didn’t wet the bed your department did. The kid didn’t meet the requirements based on what you told him to do. That ain’t the NCAA’s fault. I’m the first cat to dive on the ole dull NCAA for foolishness but their hands are clean this time. You did the kid and his family an injustice and please don’t try to spin it and tell boyz that he’s goin’ to keep his scholarship. Well that’s the least you can do for playa. He did nothin’ wrong and he earned it. That doesn’t excuse the compliance department ran by your athletic department from bein’ at fault for screwin’ this up.

Bryant Fitzgerald wants to play football this year at IU not just go to class like a regular student. Why? Because he’s earned the right to do so and you screwed it up. As an IU alumni I’m always ashamed of the foolishness that continues to come out of Bloomington in regards to it’s athletic department.

They kept Bobby Knight about 8 years too long to the point where when they decided to fire the dun it was two weeks before the season started and they simply threw Mike Davis out into the middle of traffic. He luckily survived and eventually took them to the Final Four but he wasn’t a big time head coach nor was he ready for a high profile job like that. That’s just real talk. Then they hired Kelvin Sampson who they obviously didn’t want. Then found a way to run him out of town for some dumb text messages even though he was winnin’ and landed the biggest recruit in years in Eric Gordon at the last minute from the Univ of Illinois. The darn j-walkin’ rule that they fired him for isn’t even a darn rule anymore.

And PLEASE don’t tell me about him ruinin’ the program because of boyz smokin’ weed. You’d be hard pressed to find a team in America that doesn’t have cat that smoke. Stop with that foolishness. He was winnin’!!

The good ole boy network down there keeps them from bein’ able to sign ANY of the best talent in the state in hoop. They’ve missed on 99.9999 percent of the best players in this state that have gone on to the NBA datin’ back to 1988. Oh you think I’m lyin’ bruh. Here’s a quick list startin’ with Rick Fox (UNC), Glenn Robinson (Purdue, POY), all three of the Plumlee brothers, Mason, Miles and Marshall (Duke), they missed on two of the Zeller brothers, Tyler and Luke (UNC and ND), Rodney Carney (Memphis), Josh McRoberts (Duke), Zach Randolph (Michigan State), Greg Oden (OSU), Mike Conley (OSU), George Hill (IUPUI), Shawn Kemp (UK, JUCO), Sean May (UNC), Jeff and Marquis Teague (Wake Forest and UK) Courtney Lee (Western Kentucky), Eric Montross (UNC), Luke Harongody (ND), Robbie Hummel, E’Twan Moore and JaJuan Johnson (Purdue), Gordon Hayward (Butler), Gary Harris (Michigan State) Glenn Robinson III (Michigan), Mitch McGary (Michigan) and Trey Lyles (Kentucky)!! And that’s just up through the 2015 NBA draft bruh! And I know that I’m missin’ another 3 or 4 cats but these are off the top of my head.

Then they ran Kevin Wilson out of town after finally gettin’ the football program on it’s feet. He led the Hoosiers to two consecutive bowls game for the first time since the 1990-91 seasons. And please don’t give me that he was out of control bruh. Most coaches that know how to win are outta control. Stop it! There’s a different culture around winnin’ programs and it’s called outta control coaches that know how to win. Have you heard the stories of cats like Urban Meyer. He’s outta control but he wins. I guess that’s why he’s hired Kevin Wlison to run his offense to beat the brakes off of IU on August 31 on national television. Funny how that works ain’t it.

Then who’s the genius down there that continues to approve the IU Memorial Stadium expansions when they don’t have the fan base to fill the original joint up. They enclosed the north end zone several years ago and the two sides weren’t even fillin’ up. Now they’re enclosin’ the south end zone only for boyz to put a tarp over it that says “Go IU Fight-Fight-Fight” on it because nobody’s goin’ to be sittin’ in those seats.

Now you’re costin’ a kid his eligibility? I swear the IU athletic department reminds me of the dun that ties his shoes together, falls asleep, wakes up late for class runnin’ and falls head first into the dresser and knocks all of his teeth out every month. When are boyz goin’ to get tired of this foolishness down in Bloomington? I know that I am. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
