Indiana puts a lil’ “Respeck” on their name beatin’ North Carolina! “Birdman”

"You boyz need to understand that we might be for real after all!"

Confucius once said, “A gentleman would be ashamed should his deeds not match his words.” Drew Barrymore broke it down like this, “I am not someone who is ashamed of my past. I’m actually really proud. I know I made a lot of mistakes, but they, in turn, were my life lessons.” Then the rapper, Yelawolf, shut the buildin’ down when he spit, “I’m not ashamed of anything that I’ve done because when I did it, I was passionate about it and I was doing it for a reason.”

Well playas…the Indiana Hoosiers should really be ashamed of themselves for goin’ up to IPFW and losin’ a week ago after knockin’ off the third ranked North Carolina Tarheels in Bloomington on Wednesday night 76-67!! How silly do they look this mornin’ with wins over No.3 Kansas, No.3 North Carolina and takin’ an “L” to essentially LeRoy’s Barber College?

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Their motivation for the rest of the season should be to redeem themselves of the foolishness that took place in Fort Wayne last week. That joint should be plastered on the bulletin board in the locker room all season long.

Yeah, I know that losses should be buried deep and boyz should move on from them as soon as possible. However, losin’ to some duns that rode the city bus to the game and changed in the bathroom down the hall should always be on their minds. That loss should continuously be motivation to beat the brakes off of everybody on the schedule.

To beat North Carolina on national television was a huge boost to the program’s image because it’s been dull for years. The Hoosiers can’t recruit to save it’s life, especially in the state of Indiana. So hopefully a win like this one can turn some home state eyes to the program. Oh, IU can’t recruit at all and therefore hasn’t been able to call itself an elite program in more than 27 years.

Wins like this helps to restore it’s image and it’s badly needed. They just loss the biggest recruit in the state to dull UCLA. Kris Wilkes, who is a Top 20 player right here in Indianapolis dissed the Hoosiers to go all the way to California to play for Steve Alford? What!!? But it’s been that way for years bruh.

Sit down playboy and check out this list of duns that grew up in the state of Indiana that shot spit balls at IU, signed with other programs and went to the league: Rick Fox (UNC), Glenn Robinson (Purdue, POY), all three of the Plumlee brothers, Mason, Miles and Marshall (Duke), they missed on two of the Zeller brothers, Tyler and Luke (UNC and ND), Rodney Carney (Memphis), Josh McRoberts (Duke), Zach Randolph (Michigan State), Greg Oden (OSU), Mike Conley (OSU), George Hill (IUPUI), Shawn Kemp (UK, JUCO), Sean May (UNC), Jeff and Marquis Teague (Wake Forest and UK) Courtney Lee (Western Kentucky), Eric Montross (UNC), Luke Harongody (ND), Robbie Hummel, E’Twan Moore and JaJuan Johnson (Purdue), Gordon Hayward (Butler), Gary Harris (Michigan State) Glenn Robinson III (Michigan), Mitch McGary (Michigan)!! And that’s just up to the 2014 NBA draft!!

So wins over Kansas and North Carolina are huge but you can’t lose to the commuter campus cats and expect to land big time recruits. So again, that IPFW debacle should be plastered all over campus as reminder of how important it is to keep winnin’ to put some Birdman “respeck” on the Indiana name. Stop me when I start lyin’!
