Indiana continues to prove that it’s a mediocre program! “Hoopers”

"I don't care what you say Jay! We're still an elite program!"

Sometimes we have to deal with reality when it pulls up in our drive way and squats in our front lawn. Like I’ve been tellin’ you boyz for twenty plus years, Indiana is NOT an elite college basketball program!! However, most of you cats keep arguin’ with me like you’ve been under a rock or sleep walkin’ around this piece like Ronda Rousey.

So as you argue that IU is still relevant. We sit down to watch them play in Indianapolis on Saturday against a Louisville program that is very much still relevant even though they’ve got an old school gangsta runnin’ the joint. That’s neither here nor there because they’re still an elite program. Why? Because they win when it counts!

So IU shows up at Bankers Life Fieldhouse and get’s the brakes beaten off of them 77-62 and proves my point again. Louisville held them to only 32 percent shootin’ from the field and a lousy 19 percent from downtown! The Hoosiers were so shook that they shot 69 percent from the free throw line bruh! Sixty-nine percent with NOBODY guardin’ you? C’mon bruh!! Stop it!

I didn’t even mention that they loss to dull Nebraska at the crib in the Big Ten opener earlier this week!!

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! An elite program wins all of the games that they’re supposed to win playboy. They don’t lose to duns like Nebraska at home. They don’t even lose to Nebraska in Nebraska in a meat packing plant playin’ with red meat basketballs. Elite programs don’t play road games on commuter campuses!! They sure don’t travel to commuter campuses and lose!!

The Hoosiers went up to IPFW and loss earlier this season. Wheredeydodatat? I could see them losin’ to Butler a few weeks ago because Butler is a legit program and they’ve got a good team. Durin’ in-state rivalries anything can happen. But you can’t beat Kansas then turn around and lose to IPFW only to beat North Carolina and turn right back around and lose to dull Nebraska!!! That’s unacceptable!!!

For that reason that’s why IU can’t land big time recruits to come to Bloomington. Indianapolis North Central’s Kris Wilkes, who is the No.14 recruit in the ESPN Top 100, chose UCLA!! That dun is willin’ to go all the way to California rather than to play 45 minutes from home. IU isn’t an elite program.

Here’s my die hard Hoosier fan talkin’ out of the side of his next, “Man just because Wilkes decided to go to UCLA doesn’t mean that IU can’t keep players at home.”

Oh really bruh? Sit down and check out this list of duns that grew up in the state of Indiana that shot spit balls at IU, signed with other programs and went to the league: Rick Fox (UNC), Glenn Robinson (Purdue, POY), all three of the Plumlee brothers, Mason, Miles and Marshall (Duke), they missed on two of the Zeller brothers, Tyler and Luke (UNC and ND), Rodney Carney (Memphis), Josh McRoberts (Duke), Zach Randolph (Michigan State), Greg Oden (OSU), Mike Conley (OSU), George Hill (IUPUI), Shawn Kemp (UK, JUCO), Sean May (UNC), Jeff and Marquis Teague (Wake Forest and UK) Courtney Lee (Western Kentucky), Eric Montross (UNC), Luke Harongody (ND), Robbie Hummel, E’Twan Moore and JaJuan Johnson (Purdue), Gordon Hayward (Butler), Gary Harris (Michigan State) Glenn Robinson III (Michigan), Mitch McGary (Michigan)!! And that’s just up to the 2014 NBA draft!!

Why am I so passionate about this? It’s because I’m a 1990 IU graduate and I’m sick and tired of watchin’ a mediocre program runnin’ around here tellin’ folks that it’s an elite program. I’m not even trippin’ over the loss to Louisville. I’m trippin’ over how bad they looked against Louisville! At least look like an elite program in the loss. Until they can get some real hoopers down in Bloomington they’ll just be another school with a basketball team. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Spit: verb – to say

2) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.
