If Conor McGregor were black would you be entertained or offended? “Double Standards”

Bertrand Russell, the British philosopher, once said, “The infliction of cruelty with a good conscience is a delight to moralists. That is why they invented Hell.” Voltaire, the 18th century French philosopher, broke it down like this, “It is forbidden to kill; therefore all murderers are punished unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets.”  Then Noam Chomsky, the cognitive scientist and philosopher, poured out a lil’ liquor for all the dead homies when he spit, “For the powerful, crimes are those that others commit.”

Well playas…in other words, we live a world full of double standards, especially if you’re black. After the foolishness of the McGregor/Mayweather promotional tour was over I asked myself the simple question, “Would folks love Conor McGregor’s behavior if he were black?” It’s a simple enough question that boyz shouldn’t be able to squirm out of answerin’. It’s the same question I posed after watchin’ the countless foolishness of Gronkowski of the Patriots. People love him and his behavior is deplorable.

Durin’ the four city tour to Los Angeles, Toronto, New York and London McGregor had to have used the words F-You or just F a thousand times. Not to mention the dun showed up in a pinstripe suit where the pinstripes themselves were the words “F-You!” But everybody watchin’ this foolishness thought that it was hilarious and it was. But would it have been funny to you if he were black?

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! There is a double standard out here and it sticks out like a sore thumb or better yet like Slammer’s toe in “Im Gonna Get You Sucka.” If a black man had traveled to four cities usin’ the language that McGregor used they’d be tellin’ the world today how ignorant he is and how women and children were offended by his antics.

Ole boy slid quite a few racial barbs in without most folks even payin’ attention to it. On more than one occasion he would say “Dance for me boy!” Now “Boy” is a white racist term that everybody and their baby’s momma knows to be true. You can’t call a grown black man a boy. Everybody knows that includin’ McGregor and he did it anyway. Then the dun pulled the ultimate disrespectful move. He walked past Mayweather as he sat and listened to McGregor do his thing and Conor rubbed him on the top of his head like an animal.

Most white folks paid no attention to it because it wasn’t a big deal but I would suggest that you don’t go to work on Monday and rub your black co-worker on the top of the head. Well…not unless you wanna get the brakes beatin’ off of you in front of the rest of your co-workers.

If Floyd would have been actin’ like Conor the editorials this week on how ignorant and disrespectful he is would have been overwhelmin’. Now don’t get me wrong, I thought the cat was hilarious but would the masses have enjoyed the same foolishness comin’ out of Mayweather’s mouth? That’s the question playboy.

Oh don’t think that I’m reachin’ because we’ve seen it time and again of how folks react to black athletes just playin’ the game or bein’ themselves. Remember when cats were offended that Cam Newton was dabbin’ after scorin’ touchdowns? Remember when the lady wrote a letter to the Tennessee Titans sayin’ that she was sittin’ in the end zone with her 9 year daughter and explained how offended she was that Cam was celebratin’? She went on about him puffin’ his chest out, the pelvic thrusts, which there weren’t any, but when a person gets rollin’ with a lie they’ve got to go all out right?

Then she tried to tell him about why he needs to be a role model on and off of the field because they pay him too much bread to essentially act a fool and how dare he think that it’s okay to act that way in front of her daughter. This is really what some woman wrote in a letter bruh.

Don’t even bring up the foolishness of Gronk and how he gets away with bein’ an idiot but the world loves him. Here’s how sports talk radio describes him. “Oh that’s just Gronk! He’s just havin’ fun! He’s a meat head but it’s cool! He’s havin’ a blast! What a great guy! We’d love to hang out with him.”

Here are a few examples of what Gronk as done while in the NFL and everybody loves him for it. The Patriots loss in the Super Bowl a few years back and he was sufferin’ from an ankle injury durin’ that game. This dun shows up at a party right after the game flingin’ himself around the joint dancin’ to LMFAO like he’d just won the championship! What did boyz say? “Oh that’s just Gronk! He’s lettin’ off some steam.” But if he were black they would have said that he’s not committed to the team and that he’s selfish.

Then he actually said out of his OWN mouth, “I’d “F” Tebow to take his virginity.” What did boyz say? Aw bruh, Gronk is just clownin’ around! If he were black he would have been a complete moron for disrepectin’ Tim Tebow like that. How dare he say something as stupid as that? What kind of role model is he? He should have to go to therapy because there’s obviously something wrong with him to say that publicly.
Did you simply ignore him postin’ a picture online of him with a porn star in a Patriots jersey! What was said? “Gronk’s the man bruh! He’s got women and loves to party.” If he were black he would have been a male chauvinist, a bad role model and EVERY women’s group in America would have been protestin’ his very existence in the NFL.

Well, we’re seein’ the same foolishness from Conor McGregor and it’s a darn shame that black athletes can’t be treated the same as our white athletes. But that’s real talk for the real world. That’s why we have to teach our children that you can’t do the white kids do at school. Why? Because if you do it you’re goin’ to get suspended or kicked out of school. Yes, I know that you guys were just havin’ fun but you can’t indulge in that foolishness because the rules aren’t the same for you as it is for your white friends.

It’s the same at work, while you’re bein’ pulled over for a simple traffic stop etc. If you’re black you’re judge all too often by a different set of rules. So you better learn how to follow them. I didn’t make the rules playboy, I just play by them. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Slammer: noun – character in the 1988 movie “I’m Gonna Get You Sucka” that was shot in the foot and his bunyon swell up like a watermelon.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
