Hoosiers lose their “Super” bowl but it was worth the effort! “Do You Know”

"It was all worth it playboy!"

Michelle Obama once said, “Success is only meaningful and enjoyable if it feels like your own.” Joshua Foer, the freelance journalist, broke it down like this, “What makes things memorable is that they are meaningful, significant, colorful.” Then Bryant H. McGill, the best-selling author, jumped out of the whip and left it runnin’ when he spit, “Do not let your grand ambitions stand in the way of small but meaningful accomplishments.”

Well playas…everybody and their baby’s momma’s momma, Ms. Jackson, wants the Indiana Hoosiers to eventually become this great football program where they’ll go to bowl games every year and actually win them. However, don’t let your grand ambitions stand in the way of small but meaningful accomplishments playboy. The Hoosiers showed up in the Bay Area on Wednesday night and played their bowl game like some straight up G’s and came up short in the finals minutes 26-24 versus Utah.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! This was their “Super” bowl bruh!! For all of the fake media-types that have been screamin’ that these bowl games are meaningless they simply haven’t been watchin’ them. I wrote the Hot Joint last week entitled “Homework” where I explained to boyz why all of the bowls outside of the Final Four are important too. They aren’t important to these fake media types because they aren’t playin’ in them.

When a boy signs with Indiana he already knows that he’s not goin’ to EVER compete for a national title or even show up in the neighborhood of a national title. Heck, he’s not even goin’ to compete for a Big Ten title for cryin’ out loud. So to win enough games to go to a bowl game is as big as it’s gonna get in Bloomington. Stop it! You sound crazy!

The duns showin’ up in Bloomington aren’t five star recruits with options to play at Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan and LSU!! For the most part it’s the dun that was offered at Western Kentucky, Ball State, Ohio and Indiana! So he chose the Hoosiers so that he could play against Michigan and Ohio State etc. Don’t get it twisted, every now and then you get cats that were recruited by everybody and just happens to chose IU because he wanted to start as a true freshman. So he shows up, starts and get’s his skin torn off of him for 3 or 4 years. But again, they don’t have a roster full of those types of cats so they get the brakes beaten off of them more often than not.

The fact that IU played the Utes hard and came from behind in the fourth quarter makin’ it one of the most excitin’ bowl games of this bowl season was cool with me bruh. I wasn’t expectin’ them to win that game goin’ in no way. I’m an IU grad bruh! I know how this works.

The importance of the bowl game was this, the program got an additional two weeks of practice which is always needed. Especially, after the head coach was fired and the new one is just now takin’ over. Say what you want playboy, that dun was fired. It also gave the program some national exposure durin’ the holidays. That’s called free advertisement. Well, take that back, it’s called bein’ paid to play in front of everybody’s Big Momma nem and for potential recruits.

Oh, you didn’t realize that Indiana made a clean $2.2 million just for showin’ up!! That’s win or lose playa! They took home $2.2 million!! But some fake media-type is tryin’ to tell folks that the game was meaningless. Do you know what $2.2 million can do for an athletic budget? Do you know what two weeks of additional practice can do for a program? Do you know what additional TV exposure can do for recruitin’ purposes? Do you know what actually playin’ in a bowl game does for the confidence of the players on the team when show back up on the yard in January? All of that helps the 2017 campaign. Meaningless? Get a life and stop me when I start lyin’!
