Albert Einstein once said, “It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity.” Confucius broke it down like this, “When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don’t adjust the goals, adjust the action steps.” Then Arthur Conan Doyle, the Scottish writer, knocked all of a boy’z cards off of the table when he spit, “There is nothing more deceptive than an obvious fact.”
Well playas…ole dull Roger Goodell and the duns runnin’ the NFL are standin’ around lookin’ at the obvious fact that the league’s television ratings have dropped. On Wednesday he tells a boy at their fall meetings that he doesn’t think that the league has lost viewers despite the fact that ratings are down 10 percent. So instead of admittin’ to the obvious fact that the numbers don’t lie. This cat says that he’s tryin’ to understand what caused the dropped and what to do about it.
He get’s up and actually said out of his OWN mouth bruh! Not some whino’s mouth staggerin’ past the joint playin’ the old Common Sense joint “Can I Borrow A Dollar.” He starts off with sayin’ that it’s not just important to get viewers but to also “get them to stay tuned in” to game broadcasts. He goes on to say, “When you look at ratings you have to go deeper than that. Its viewers, but also how long they’re engaging for, and a lot of times, people will leave a game for whatever reason, whether it’s to go to other programming or whether the game is not that competitive.”
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Now everybody and their baby’s momma’s momma, Ms. Jackson, that’s sittin’ in that room knows why boyz aren’t watchin’ the NFL with the same intensity. However, nobody can flat out say it so I will! Boyz watched the NFL for years because of the violence and entertainment value of it.
With the further understandin’ of concussions and how medical science has given, not just football, but all sports, a road map to the knowledge and dangers of head trauma. The rules of the game have changed. What does that mean to the viewer? Virtually no more big hits! Boyz were tunin’ in to see a boy get blown up. Now that’s not happenin’!
I’ve told you cats for years that college football was far more excitin’ to watch than the NFL because of the sure unpredictability of it as well as the pageantry. The NFL is the most predictable game between the two. The better team is 99.9999 percent of the time goin’ to win. There are virtually no upsets in pro football bruh. Then when you take the big hits out of the game there’s nothin’ for me to tune it to watch. I get it but when you take that out of the game it becomes even more boring.
And let me put it where the goats can get it. I haven’t even mentioned the most important aspect as to why the game has become boring. The old farts makin’ the decisions around this piece have takin’ the celebrations out of the game. If a boy celebrates too much he’s fined a fortune for havin’ fun. Remember when duns like Deion Sanders would high step for like 35 yards down the sideline with his hand on his helmet tauntin’ a boy? That was great entertainment!!! Boyz can’t get up, talk trash and then go back to the huddle anymore.
Nobody wants to admit it but that’s why boyz tuned in on Sunday! I don’t wanna see a borin’ predictable product with no big hits and boyz aren’t even allowed to talk trash, taunt and celebrate like they want. It’s no longer worth watchin’ at the same level. So today it’s a 10 percent drop, tomorrow it’ll be a 15 percent drop and so on so forth.
Look here bruh! Nobody’s watchin’ hockey for the hockey! Outside of the duns from Canada that love the sport because it’s their national pastime boyz are watchin’ for the fights. What am I sayin’? The NFL has to at least give a boy something to work with. You can’t take away the big hits and the celebrations too. I completely understand why the big hits have to be outlawed but celebrations don’t negatively affect the game but in one area. VIEWERSHIP!! Stop me when I start lyin’!
1) Spit: verb – to say
2) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.
3) Put it where the goats can get it: verb phrase – to make it as elementary as possible. To put it at ground level so everyone can understand it.
