Glenn Robinson III still provin’ boyz wrong in these NBA streets! “Keepin’ it Movin'”

"You can have that playa!"

Gever Tulley, the writer, speaker and computer scientist, once said, “Persistence and resilience only come from having been given the chance to work though difficult problems.” Well playas…the Indiana Pacers had lost 8 of their last ten ball games includin’ a heart breaker in San Antonio on Wednesday night. They fell off into the ATL lookin’ to bounce back and that they did with a 97-96 win at Phillips Arena. The lil’/big homie Glenn Robinson III knocked down a game winnin’ three with six tenths of a second remainin’ to walk the blue and gold outta of the joint alive.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! When you show up in New Orleans and win the Verizon Slam Dunk Contest it builds a tremendous amount of confidence in a boy. The talk has more energy, the mannerisms are more confident and the swagger is through the roof. Lil’ G Rob is startin’ to take off in these NBA streets!

The talk about him becomin’ a solid contributor to this Pacers team would simply underestimate his value to the team. I can remember boyz comin’ out of trainin’ camp in October and the coachin’ staff talkin’ about how great of a camp ole boy had. They were buzzin’ about this kid’s improvement from last season but where would they find the minutes for him on the floor?

When Monta Ellis got injured earlier in the season Nate McMillan moved him into the startin’ lineup because he was long enough to add to the defensive presence that they so desperately needed. He’s been a solid contributor ever since. Comin’ out of the bushes on Sunday afternoon he finished with 11 points includin’ the game winnin’ three.

A second round pick out of the University of Michigan boyz didn’t give this dun a shot of makin’ it in the league. I’ll have to admit that I didn’t think his chances were great goin’ to the Timberwolves with the 40th pick of the 2014 draft. He was eventually waived by the Timberwolves on March 5, 2015 and picked up two days later by the dull 76ers. In July of that summer they decided not to make him an offer before the July 1 signin’ period. He was then picked up by the Atlanta Hawks for summer league play.

Larry Bird saw something that nobody else could, signed him to a three year deal and kept it movin’! G Rob III believed in himself and here we are today playboy! Nearly two years into that deal he’s the winner of the Slam Dunk Contest knockin’ down game winners against boyz that didn’t see the value in him. Huh, I guess it feels good to be Lil’ G Rob III from The G at this point! Keep bangin’ lil’ homie because the resilience in you won’t stop pushin’ you. G.I. stand up!! Stop me when I start lyin’!
