For the 1st time in life I agree with Barkley: “Respect the Office”

"It is what it is bruh!"

Albert Einstein once said, “Everyone should be respected as an individual, but no one idolized.” Bryant McGill broke it down like this, “One of the most sincere forms of respect is actually listening to what another has to say.” Then Taylor Swift put it where the goats could get it when she spit, “We don’t need to share the same opinions as others, but we need to be respectful.”

Well playas….one thing is for certain and two is for sure, I respect the office of the Presidency! Always have and always will. On Thursday night ole dull Charles Barkley led a discussion on TNT’s “Inside the NBA” before the Bulls/Heat game on his thoughts on the election results. For the first time in history of human intelligence I agreed with him. This dun said out of his OWN mouth”

“I was in shock, I’m not gonna lie. I was totally surprised at the election results. That being said, we’ve got to move on. I was disappointed because my candidate didn’t win, No. 1. But like I said, it’s over now. [Trump] is going to be the president of the United States. We’ve got to respect the office, and we have to give him a chance. That’s the bottom line.”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! That was the most intelligent thing that dun has said in his life because you already know that he can say some pretty ignorant stuff. And that’s the edited version. But when it came to this subject he was on point. We can all be unhappy that our candidate lost the election or happy that our candidate won the election. But we’re ALL strapped in the car seat together. So if we ALL don’t make this thing work by comin’ together as a people we’re in trouble.

Donald Trump won the election and there’s nothin’ people can do about it now. He’s goin’ to be the president whether you like it or not. It is what it is. Now we as Americans have to hold him accountable to doin’ all of the right things for this country. If you say that you love America then act like it.

You say that you love bein’ in a country that has a democratic process with liberty, freedom and justice for ALL. Then let’s act like it. Let’s make sure that ALL people get to ALL of those. Not just a few select people but ALL people. Let’s work to fix the criminal justice system that is unfair to people of color where the incarceration rates are disproportionate for the same crimes committed etc. Let’s make sure that ALL of our children have the opportunity to be educated and given the same opportunity to succeed in this country. Not just a few.

Let’s hold those police officers that murder unarmed black folks accountable. Let’s not get angry enough to send death threats to people that have a different opinion of what justice looks like to them. When a person exercises their freedom of speech let’s not tell them that they are bein’ disrespectful because you don’t agree with them. Because you see the world through an entirely different lens than they do.

At some point in this country we’ve got to become mature adults that respect the differences of ALL of the people in this country. We’ve got to live up to the true meaning of it’s creed and celebrate the diversity of thinking that this country promotes. We’ve got to stop lyin’ to each other about boyz fightin’ for our freedoms and when someone actually takes advantage of those freedoms it becomes a problem.

We’ve got to respect our women and children!! We can’t keep actin’ like what’s important to them isn’t important bruh. ALL people in America have a voice and they should be heard and respected. If you’re candidate didn’t win then you need to encourage more people that think like you think to vote next time playa.

Trump is the president-elect! Now let’s hold him accountable! Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Spit: verb – to say

2) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

3) Put it where the goats can get it: verb phrase – to make it as elementary as possible. To put it at ground level so everyone can understand it.
