Well playas…the reality is, Grayson Allen is goin’ to kick, trip or shove the wrong cat and they’re goin’ to be pickin’ ALL of his teeth up off of the court before the season is over. Book it!! On Tuesday night the dun pulled another stunt durin’ their 88-72 road loss to Florida State.
In case you’ve been under a rock all day. Ole boy was goin’ for a loose ball out of bounds when he swiped at it. As he’s goin’ out of bounds he shoves Florida State assistant coach, Dennis Gates, out of the way. When there was no need to.
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! It’s clear that he did it but as usual their are duns out here tryin’ to defend his actions includin’ Gates himself. Now we’ll give Gates a pass because he didn’t see what happened because he was the one that got shoved. He simply thought the dun ran into him.
At some point Grayson Allen is goin’ to kick, trip, shove or push the wrong cat and it’s goin’ to be like Chris Brown and Soldier Boy up in this piece. “On and Poppin’!”
I wrote in the crazy Hot Joint a few weeks ago entitled “Double Standards” that if Grayson Allen were black he’d be labeled as the biggest thug in college basketball. Everybody and their baby’s momma keeps givin’ him a pass and he keeps on actin’ a fool. When he came back from the measly one game suspension he kicked another kid last week. Now he shoves an assistant coach.
I told you in the Hot Joint entitled “Candy” that all he needed was to go to ANY HOOD, USA and play for 20 minutes and he’d be cured of all kickin’ and pushin’!
Here’s what’s so dangerous bruh. At some point he’s goin’ to kick a cat that didn’t grow up in the suburbs or rural America. He’s goin’ to run into a kid fresh out of the hood that is still wearin’ his ghetto instincts on his shoulder. What you have to understand is that everybody didn’t grow up in the same culture and there isn’t a kid from the ghetto that likes Duke!!! Why? Because outside of Jabari Parker Coach K traditionally never recruited kids from the hood. That’s why boyz don’t like Duke.
Now you’ve got a dun kickin’, trippin’ and pushin’ boyz from Duke? Aw, it’s gonna be a problem.
Cats that grew up in the ghetto have the grades and the ability to play Division I sports. They have the educational capacity to compete in the classroom too. However, those of us that grew up in dangerous environments have developed instincts that have enabled us to survive in that environment as well.
On of those instincts is self preservation in the heat of combat. Where many of us grew up there was no callin’ the police for help when a boy is tryin’ to take your sneakers, jewelry or your lunch money. It’s handled now or get beat up tryin’ to compromise. At 18 or 19 years old that instinct is sittin’ on the edge of a kid’s shoulder even though he’s in college. So the slightest threat of violence will set it off. I’m not tellin’ you what I heard playboy, I’m tellin’ you what I know.
I don’t live in the world of what should be. I live in the world of what is. And if Grayson Allen kicks the wrong cat he’s goin’ to get the entire shoulders worth of ghetto instincts thrown at him. And when he gets it, it’s not goin’ to be nice. Unfortunately, when a kid is fresh out of the hood at 18 they don’t always think about the “what if’s” when they unload the shoulder of instincts.
They won’t be thinkin’ about gettin’ suspended, losin’ their scholarship or even goin’ to jail at that moment. Why? Because the instincts just kick in. It takes some kids a little time to mature and understand that you can’t just hit back when someone pops off.
So what I’m tryin’ to tell you is that Grayson Allen better chill because there are boyz walkin’ around right now with the “Wish Factor” waitin’ for him to get close to the line. He doesn’t have to step on the line. He just needs to get close enough to the line to get the brakes beaten off of him. I’m tellin’ you right now that it’s not gonna end well if Duke doesn’t step in and get this kid together. I’m just sayin’ and stop me when I start lyin’!
