Dale Earnhardt Jr. gets love from IMS before Brickyard 400! “Thanks bruh!”

NASCAR has rolled into the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend for the 24th Annual Brickyard 400!!! Boyz are geeked up and ready to go. All of the stars of the sport are in the buildin’ and it’s about to be Chris Brown up in this piece! “On and Poppin’!”

Probably the biggest name in the sport or should I say the most popular driver in the game, Dale Earnhardt Jr., fell through the media center to holler at us on his farewell tour in his final season. The president of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Doug Boles, presented Junior with a partin’ gift on his final run through Indy.

My summer intern, Dontre’ Graves, got a chance to ask him how important a social media presence is for himself and other drivers and here’s what he had to say:

When asked has he had a chance to smell the roses durin’ his final season he said that if they were runnin’ better he probably would have but that’s not the case. Boyz even tried to jam him up about how popular he is in the sport without the success to match but he handled it like a G! Ole boy said that he realizes that his last name has a lot to do with it and that his father’s fans fell to him but he’s been grateful for the support.

However, in my opinion, you can’t blame Junior for bein’ himself and bein’ the driver that he’s been. He’s not his old man he’s Junior!!!

We even got a chance to catch up with the “King” Richard Petty durin’ the morning of practice and qualifying. I had to holler at the King about what he’s seen durin’ his time in the game and here’s what he said:

NASCAR’s at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend playas!! Don’t sleep on the fun and excitement because we sure won’t. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Geeked up: verb – to get fired up or excited about something

2) Chris Brown: noun – R&B singer with the hit record “On and Poppin'”

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”

The caption under the photo isn’t real but its real talk!
