Colts GM earnin’ his bread cuts D’Qwell Jackson and saves boyz $5.5M! “Workin'”

Chris Ballard, the new Colts general manager, is OFFICIALLY on the job now bruh! On Tuesday ole boy cut veteran LB D’Qwell Jackson who led the team in tackles in two of his three seasons in Indy. However, he missed the final four games of the 2016 season after bein’ suspended for usin’ performance enhancin’ drugs. Even with missin’ those games he still finished the season just one tackle shy of team leadin’ tackler, Mike Adams. So why would a boy cut him if he’s so productive and nobody’s trippin’?

Well…let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Jackson’s gettin’ old and he’s costin’ the Colts too much bread. He was goin’ to make $5 million in 2017 and he was due a $500,000 roster bonus in March. So he was about to cost them $5.5M.

I’m just guessin’ but I believe that Ballard figures if he’s gotta revamp the linebackin’ core anyway. Then he may as well keep his bread while he’s shoppin’ for new and younger talent. Keep in mind that Robert Mathis just retired and both Erik Walden and Trent Cole are free agents. So take the bread and shop either in the draft or free agency.

Let me put it where the goats can get it. Once a boy hit’s age 33 and he’s gettin’ caught takin’ performance enhancers he’s on his way down the yellow brick road lookin’ for the Wizard. How much longer would D’Qwell be productive and worth $5.5M to you? I’m just sayin’!

I know one thing, ole Chris Ballard better know how to buy the groceries around this piece because these Colts fans aren’t goin’ to be too patient with him, especially after Ryan Grigson just threw up all over his shirt and wet the bed. Stop me when I start lyin’!
