Center Grove’s game day experience was one of the best I’ve seen playa! “Gettin’ it in!”

I’ve had a blast this football season visitin’ all of the schools in the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference better known to all the real playas as the M.I.C.. I’ve been to Warren Central, Pike, Lawrence North and this past Friday Center Grove!! Not only am I coverin’ the game but I’m coverin’ the game day experience too. Most importantly, that means that I am checkin’ out how fired up the student sections are.

Lawrence North, Warren Central and Pike were nuts!! So I wanted to see how they were gettin’ down at Center Grove. Well playas…they know how to get it in Greenwood!!! Their student section was CRAZY!!!! I felt like I was at a major college football game because these duns wouldn’t sit down!! Wheredeydodatat? The atmosphere was wild and all good.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! To stand up the entire game and cheer even when the game had essentially been decided midway through the third quarter was incredible. Big shout to CG students for holdin’ their team down.

The joint was packed to the rim bruh! I’ve never seen a high school stadium that packed in my life. I swear that I saw signs for folks to leave at least one butt cheek in the ride. You couldn’t bring both into the buildin’ because there wasn’t enough room for everyone to bring them in.

I’ve been followin’ my same professional sportin’ events routine by gettin’ to the venue a couple hours before the game starts so that I can watch the joint fill up. I like to watch the teams work out in their warmups, get some pre-work done on the field, walk the stadium and get some shots etc. So I’ve been showin’ up at 5pm or so and none of the other schools have even opened the gates until 6pm. Now don’t get it twisted, the others schools have had students chompin’ at the bit to get into the joint at 5:30pm but they just haven’t been able to get in until 6.

However, when I got to Center Grove duns were already posted up in their seats!!! I thought that I was late bruh! I had to look at my watch two or three times to make sure that I wasn’t crazy. They had a Spirit Pavillon set up full of food with folks eatin’, chillin’ and relaxin’ at 5:30!!! Not to mention all of the cats in the parkin’ lot gettin’ it in. It was amazin’. Was this Center Grove High School or University? I’m literally askin’ myself.

I’ve never seen a community support a high school team like that and maybe because I grew up in an area where there were multiple schools and the community was split up. It was amazin’ to see.

Talk about top notch facilities? Boy!!! The field was like the carpet at Big Momma’s house. It reminded me of bein’ able to lay on the carpet watchin’ the Jackson 5 cartoon on Saturday mornings.

I definitely want to thank all of the Center Grove faithful that gave me mad love and for followin’ TheJayGravesReport! Keep bangin’ and supportin’ your team and make sure to check out the HILARIOUS M.I.C. Football Weekly Preview: Week 5 comin’ up on Tuesday evenin’. Remember I do it on only one take. That’s why it so funny to me because whatever comes to mind comes out and stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Ride: noun – car

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”

The caption under the photo isn’t real but its real talk!
