The Butler Bulldogs have been puttin’ in work this season and at some point you’ve got to think that they’ll finally get tired of fightin’ boyz in the middle of the street. They’re takin’ everybody’s best shot but they keep staggerin’ back to the crib when it’s over. On Monday afternoon durin’ the many MLK Day games all over the country in college basketball the Bulldogs hosted Marquette for afternoon tea. They eventually beat these duns 88-80 to win their 14th in row at the crib.
Marquette (12-6, 3-3 Big East) got off of the bus and jumped all over Butler (16-3, 5-2 Big East) catchin’ them lookin’ at the honeys walkin’ into Hinkle Fieldhouse. At the break the home team was down 16 tryin’ to figure out what hit them in the first half. Head coach Chris Holtmann got in that tail at halftime and it was Chris Brown in the second half! “On and Poppin’!”
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Whatever that dun said in the locker room at halftime worked like a charm. They outscored Marquette 63-39 and they shot 70 percent from the field!! NUTS!!!
Kelan Martin led the Bulldogs with 22 points followed by the young freshman, Kamar Baldwin, with 18! Kethan Savage went to work with 17 as both Tyler Lewis and Andrew Chrabascz dropped off 10.
Don’t trip that they were down 18 points at one point playa. They won the game. If you’re on the Butler bandwagon now you better stay on it. Because if you get off I can’t promise you that they’ll be room on the joint come March. I’m just sayin’! Stop me when I start lyin’!
1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.
