Hate all you want on LeBron James but one thing you can’t dismiss is the fact that the dun will speak up on social issues and when things are wrong he’ll let you know that he has a pulse. On Saturday after Donald Trump tweeted this, “Going to the White House is considered a great honor for a championship team. Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore invitation is withdrawn!” Ole boy responded and it wasn’t to ask how Big Momma was doin’.
After seein’ that foolishness the most powerful player in the NBA went to twitter to tell the President this:
U bum @StephenCurry30 already said he ain't going! So therefore ain't no invite. Going to White House was a great honor until you showed up!

Welp…that about sums up how LeBron feels about the president rescending an invitation that never existed. My point here is this, for years our most powerful and influential athletes, excludin’ duns like Muhammad Ali and Kareem and cats in that era. Nobody had the guts to speak out on racial or social issues in the ’80’s, ’90’s and early 2000’s. I won’t state the obvious dun because his fans cry like babies when you even mention his name.
However, I’m glad that we’ve finally got some duns that are willin’ to let the world know that they’re black and they’re proud like the Godfather of Soul once wrote in the hit song “Say It Loud I’m Black and I’m Proud!” written in 1968.” We had success durin’ the Civil Rights movement because we ALL bought into the cause of upliftin’ the ALL people. Not only did the college students and regular workin’ class black folks speak out but our celebrities with crazy influence use their voices too.
We heard from Sammy Davis Jr., Sidney Poitier, Josephine Baker, Harry Belafonte, Dick Gregory, Jackie Robinson, Muhammad Ali, Mahalia Jackson Ossy Davis and Rubie Dee, Kareem and countless others. So don’t act like duns with influence have the right to act like they’re too good to be black in America and not care about what the majority of folks that look like them are goin’ through. I’m just sayin’ and stop me when I start lyin’!
