Bloomington–The Purdue Boilermakers (21-2, 10-0 Big Ten) showed up in Bloomington bumpin’ that DJ Khaled “All I Do Is Win” joint, battled for 40 minutes at Assembly Hall to beat the Indiana Hoosiers 74-67 and got back in the ride headed north.

It wasn’t as easy as boyz thought it would be but they were resilient enough to outlast the hungry Hoosiers (12-10, 505 Big Ten) to win their 17th straight game. That’s a school record and they’re 12th straight conference win which is also a school record.

Let’s face it, Purdue is flat out the best team in America. They’ve got all the angles covered. They’re guard play is nuts, the wing play is ridiculous and their big is unstoppable. Indiana had no answer for the 7-footer, Isaac Haas who led all scorers with 26 points.

Vincent Edwards finished the day with 19 points out of the passenger seat as Carsen Edwards dropped off a clean 10 points.

Don’t get it twisted, the Hoosiers played with some heart and never allowed the Boilermakers to run away from them. They led at the break 37-35 and hung around the entire ball game. Purdue went on a 9-2 to start the second half but IU scrapped to stay in it and knotted it up at 46.

It wasn’t until about the two minute mark that Purdue went up 69-64 to match the largest lead of the game up until that point. The Boilers were able to keep the pesky Hoosiers at bay to get out of Assembly Hall with their 17th straight win. Up next: Maryland on Wednesday and stop me when I start lyin’!

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
