Ben Davis’ Reese Taylor is like watchin’ the original Star Wars in 3D before it was invented! “Complete Control”

Ben Davis' Reese Taylor has been doin' work and deserves to win Mr. Football! Photo: TheJayGravesReport

There are a lot of boyz that will tell you to go check a player out because he puts up sick numbers. More often than not the dun isn’t what they hype him up to be. So for the past few weeks cats have been in my ear about goin’ to see the phenom known to the world as Reese Taylor, the Ben Davis quarterback. However, I’ve been stickin’ to my schedule of gettin’ around to each school in the M.I.C. and Ben Davis hadn’t come up on the calendar.

Yeah yeah I’ve seen the numbers where the dun put up ridiculous stats as a junior. I’ve seen where he completed 66 percent of his passes for a mind blowin’ 2,730 yards and 24 touchdowns. Then I saw where ole boy put up another 961 yards on the ground for an additional 23 touchdowns!! Yeah… I know that bruh but I hadn’t seen him with my own two eyes yet. Well…until Friday night when they traveled to No.3 Center Grove where I was scheduled to be.

Let’s put it where the goats can get it bruh. He’s better than advertised!!! He’s like watchin’ the original Star Wars movie in 3D in 1976 and they hadn’t even invented it yet. He was that good. It wasn’t the fact that he went 28 of 31 for 217 yards and scored 4 touchdowns. It was how easy he made it look against the No.3 ranked team in the state. Ole boy was in complete control all night long.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Center Grove put pressure on him on every down. They flushed him, rushed him and forced him to scramble, change directions in the pocket and he never even blinked.

He literally took what the defense gave him and in my Ray Charles voice, “Made it do what it do.” Even in all of the scramblin’ and maneuverin’ the pass rush he always knew where his receivers were. If there was nothin’ there he made somethin’ happen.

What most folks miss when they’re lookin’ at boyz get gettin’ down, is how much control they may or may not have of their bodies. This cat is in complete control all the way down to the pinky toe. He never once got rattled or seemed to be uncomfortable. That’s a dangerous skill set to have. I see why Indiana is walkin’ around on their toes ecstatic about him becomin’ a Hoosier next year.

But I’ll tell you what! They’re crazy if they think they’ll be able to play him as an athlete only. He’s Antwaan Randle El all over again and I don’t care who they have a quarterback right now. He’s not better than this dun I’ll tell you that and stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Put it where the goats can get it: verb phrase – to make it as elementary as possible. To put it at ground level so everyone can understand it.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
