Unless you’ve been livin’ under a rock for the past few weeks Josh Brewer has been the talk of the town!! Well…at least in basketball circles anyway! The young dun from the west side that they call “Sleepy” was so poised that he knocked down a three-ball from the left wing to beat Castle in the semi-state game to send his Ben Davis Giants to the state title game. Do I really need to say more bruh?
That shot will go down in Ben Davis basketball history as simply “The Shot” like the joint that IU’s Keith Smart knocked down in the 1987 National Championship game to beat Syracuse. For the next 30 years boyz will be talkin’ about how Josh Brewer sent the Giants to the state title game!! You can’t even talk about the win over Fort Wayne North Side 55-52 to win the Indiana High School State Championship last Saturday without talkin’ about Josh Brewer!
