As we roll into Week 2 of Indiana High School football the deck has been shuffled in the Top 10 rankings but the Top 5 in the state now belong to the M.I.C.! We started the season off with five of the top 6 bein’ from that same conference. Now the top five are from the biggest baddest conference in Indiana high school football. Say it with me bruh, The M.I.C.!!!
Then No.1 Carmel got the brakes beaten off of them last week as they ventured down to Louisville Trinity which knocked them out of the top spot. Even though they didn’t play someone from the state they lost bad and the duns sittin’ behind them at No.2 last week, Ben Davis, looked like Jay-Z releasin’ 4:44.
The Giants went over to Indianapolis Tech and put that thang on them scorin’ 47 points in the first half only to set that joint on cruise control in the second half. Head coach Mike Kirschner played everybody on his roster Friday in a show of great sportsmanship. Now they’re the top dawg goin’ into the Week 2 as Carmel falls to No.3.
Warren Central takes over the No.2 spot as they looked like a million bucks in the first half of their Battle Royale with then No.4 Center Grove. They put up 27 easy points in the first half only to hold on for dear life in the second to barely get out of the joint alive 27-24. So now the Warriors have moved up to the No.2 spot behind BD.
Lawrence Central settles into the No.4 position after takin’ care of business at McMutcheon 40-6. Then Center Grove only falls two spots down to No.5 after losin’ a great ball game to Warren Central. The freshman runnin’ back, Carson Steele, is the real deal too.
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! It doesn’t get any better than this playboy! One conference with the top 5 teams in the state? Wheredeydodatat? How is that even possible bruh? I don’t know but it is playa and I’ve got to live with it because everybody else has to right?
These teams are that good. So I need you to pull a Snoop Dogg for me this Friday. “Sit back relax and put on the seatbelt” because it’s gonna be a boatload of fun.
