Ben Davis’ Aaron Henry announces his Top 5 and Indiana is nowhere to be found! “MONSTER”

"Countin' 'um down bruh!" Photo: Twitter

Everybody and their baby’s momma have been sittin’ in the cut waitin’ to see where Ben Davis’ all everything guard/forward Aaron Henry will go to school next year. Well earlier today ole boy announced on his Twitter page that he’s decided to narrow this foolishness down to five schools. They are Butler, Ohio State, Michigan State, Illinois and Xaxier. Y’all read that right playboy!! No Indiana!!

First of all, I wanna congratulate the lil’/big homie for puttin’ in work up to this point to have the option to go to college for free. Let’s not take that for granted. It takes a ton of work and sacrifice to be able to choose where you want to go to college and for free. So big ups to this kid for savin’ his momma and daddy a boat load of money!!

Now let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Everybody and their baby’s momma around this piece will be upset that he doesn’t have the Hoosiers on his list. Well playboy, the dun has been livin’ 45 minutes north of Bloomington his entire life and they just offered him this summer. Now I haven’t talked to him nor his folks but I can tell you like I’ve been tellin’ boyz for years. Indiana isn’t everybody’s dream landin’ spot. They’ve got to stop actin’ like Indiana is an elite program and boyz will just drop everything when they come callin’.

Boyz around here act like playin’ at IU is everybody’s dream. Well it ain’t bruh. This is yet another potential NBA player that is from the state of Indiana that the Hoosiers will have to say that they slept on, waited to the last minute to offer and missed out on.

Do I have to remind you of all of the NBA players Indiana either missed on or didn’t recruit. Either way playa, they got to the NBA without settin’ foot in Bloomington. That means that boyz don’t need Indiana! Indiana needs them.

Sit down and check out this list of cats that grew up in the state of Indiana that shot spit balls at IU, signed with other programs and have gone on to the league since 1988: Rick Fox (UNC), Glenn Robinson (Purdue, POY), all three of the Plumlee brothers, Mason, Miles and Marshall (Duke), they missed on two of the Zeller brothers, Tyler and Luke (UNC and ND), Rodney Carney (Memphis), Josh McRoberts (Duke), Zach Randolph (Michigan State), Greg Oden (OSU), Mike Conley (OSU), George Hill (IUPUI), Shawn Kemp (UK, JUCO), Sean May (UNC), Jeff and Marquis Teague (Wake Forest and UK) Courtney Lee (Western Kentucky), Eric Montross (UNC), Luke Harongody (ND), Robbie Hummel, E’Twan Moore and JaJuan Johnson (Purdue), Gordon Hayward (Butler), Gary Harris (Michigan State) Glenn Robinson III (Michigan), Mitch McGary (Michigan) and Trey Lyles (Kentucky)!! And that’s just up through the 2015 NBA draft bruh! And I know that I’m missin’ another 3 or 4 cats but these are off the top of my head.

Aaron Henry is a beast and boyz out right slept on him. If he continues to play with the passion that he played with this summer he’ll be sittin’ in the green room of the NBA draft with his mother and father smilin’ from cheek to cheek in a few years. Book it!!  Why do I say that? Because I cover the NBA playboy and I know a hooper when I see one. He’s got all of the tools and now after this summer he’s got the work ethic and drive to match the talent. Say it with me bruh, “MONSTER!!!”

If this kid continues to work his butt off he can get to the league. But he’s got to work and never become complacent with bein’ the big fish in a small pound because as he gets better the pound becomes an ocean. And the ocean is full of duns just like him. Now it’s time to compete and the dun with the greatest work ethic wins.

At some point the duns down in Bloomington are goin’ to figure out that they can’t keep thinkin’ that Indiana is an elite program. They’re goin’ to have to humble themselves and start cultivatiin’ real relationships with these kids in urban America and especially in the city of Indianapolis. Salute young thunder cat and enjoy the process. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Monster: noun – a beast, someone that is the real deal at whatever they decide to do. The best!!!

3) Young Thunder Cat: noun – someone who is not afraid to be great and is pursuin’ it.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
