Alabama gets in and Big Momma says, “Be Careful what you ask for playa!”

Here we come playboy!!!

Big Momma always said, “Be careful what you ask for because you just might get it.” Well playboyz…the college football selection committee has spoken and they’ve picked their poison for the Top 4 teams to play for the national championship. They’ve got Clemson at No.1, Oklahoma at No.2, Georgia at No.3 and Alabama sittin’ in the cat bird seat at No.4.

All of the arguin’ and fussin’ is over and this is the line up. Live with it playa. I don’t disagree that these are four best teams in America but I disagree that these are the four most deservin’ teams in America. They got three out of the four right. In my opinion Bama shouldn’t be in the ride with these conference champions on their way to Big Momma’s house for dinner. Just like Ohio State shouldn’t have been in the ride last year and ended up gettin’ the brakes beaten off of them.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! I thought that the BCS system was better because it took all of the human emotion and personal bias out of the equation and just spit out the criteria that was put in.

Boyz put in wins vs. losses, strength of schedule, margin of victory, conference championship etc. At the end of the season the two teams that hit all of the points the best played for the national title. All we ever wanted to see in college football was No.1 play No.2 and up until 1998 we didn’t have that luxury. Remember just the year before in 1997 when No.1 Nebraska played in the Orange Bowl and a No.2 Michigan played in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day?

They both won their respective games and they were both named National Champions? Then we spent the next year arguin’ about who was better. That happened so many times before we got the BCS that I care not to remember. All we ever wanted to see was No.1 play No.2. Then we finally got what we were askin’ for with the BCS.

Then boyz wanted more which was cool but they took the computers away and now duns are makin’ the selections on how they feel instead of on who DESERVES to play for the national title. The committee said up front when they put this foolishness together that things like strength of schedule, head to head match ups and conference titles would count but over the past two seasons that seems not to be the case. Penn State got screwed out of playin’ last year with Ohio State gettin’ in without winnin’ the head to head match up or the conference title.

Bama gets in this year with a terrible strength of schedule and not even an appearance in the SEC Title Game. But the first thing boyz will tell you is that Bama is better than everybody else. Now that might be true but do they deserve to be in the playoff?

If things like wins and losses, strength of schedule and conference titles don’t count then why are we even playin’ the games? We may as well just pick the four best lookin’ teams in a bathin’ suit after spring ball is over and keep it movin’. Why even play the season if you’re goin’ off of who you think is the best teams without usin’ any criteria other than how you feel?

Do I think that Ohio State or USC deserves to play in the playoff over Alabama? Absolutely!! Why? Because they both won their respective conferences. That’s gotta mean something. Bama’s in and they played NOBODY all year and loss the one game that they actually played.

Stop it! You’ve seen their schedule!! It was trash!!! They played Florida State on a neutral field, like the ALWAYS do at the beginnin’ of the season. De’Adnre Francois got hurt and the Noles were terrible without him. Then they hid down in Tuscaloosa, like they always do, to play their non-conference schedule against Fresno State, Colorado State and Mercer.

The fact that they played Mercer in Week 12 should disqualify them from the playoff in and of itself. Not to mention the fact that they already play in the SEC West. They played dull conference opponents like Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Miss State, Tennessee, Texas A&M and a decent LSU team. The one game they had on the schedule all year was Auburn and they loss that one.

Personal feelings and bread chose Alabama to play in this playoff not strength of schedule, conference titles and worthiness. And please don’t tell me that they play in the best conference in football when there’s only 3 teams in the darn conference worth two dead flies smashed. That’s Georgia, Bama and Auburn this year. Both Georgia and Auburn represented the league in Atlanta on Saturday, not Alabama. If you didn’t even play for a conference title you shouldn’t be allowed to compete for a national title unless your strength of schedule was through the roof good and their’s was trash. Stop me when I start lyin’!

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
