On Wednesday night over at North Central it was Senior Night for the Lady Panthers where they were celebratin’ four outstandin’ young ladies. Dajanae Brockington, Taylor Ramey, Jazmine Davis and Ajah Stallings were playin’ their last home regular season ball game in which they won goin’ away 74-56 over Lawrence Central.

Unfortunately, right before the game outstandin’ team leader, Ajah Stallings, tweaked her knee and was unable to play. It doesn’t look to be very serious but no one was goin’ to take a chance on it because Sectionals start next week. Keep in mind that Ajah is the young lady that I wrote the crazy Hot Joint about recently entitled “Lions and Cheetahs” where she only has the use of her left hand. She suffered a brachial plexus injury at birth where the nerves from her spine to her right shoulder, arm and hand were damaged. She doesn’t have full use of her right hand. In fact, she can’t even open it completely.

Well playas…like I said in that joint, she’s a straight up ball playa anyway that’s goin’ to Purdue as a preferred walk-on. Most schools were afraid to put money into her and offer her a scholarship because of her arm. However, she continues to prove folks wrong everyday.

At halftime of the Senior night festivities she was honored for surpassin’ 1,000 points in her high school career last Thursday. Bruh…she put up 1,000 points with one hand. Go ahead and credit my homegirl for 2,000 points while you’re playin’! Are you kiddin’ me? One thousand points!!!

Again, she’s the testament to the will of the human spirit. Like I always say, take the lemons that the Good Lord gives you and make lemonade. Major shout to Ajah Stallings for puttin’ in work and bein’ a shinin’ example of what determination actually looks like. Stop me when I start lyin’!

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
